Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Care and Support role to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will deliver direct patient care, promote independence, monitor nutrition and hydration, and support infection prevention and control measures.

Training is provided to complete clinical observations and required competencies. Join a supportive ward environment where you will communicate with patients, families and colleagues, report concerns to the nurse

Qualifications

• Observe and record clinical observations as required (training provided).
• Infection prevention and control measures followed at all times.
• Maintain professional conduct and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care alongside your team.
• Promote independence and comfort in all care activities.
• Support patients with nutritional and hydration needs.
• Observe, monitor and record clinical observations as required.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and colleagues.
• Report concerns or changes in a patient’s condition to the nurse in charge.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in ward training sessions and competency development.
• Contribute to audits and feedback initiatives and maintain a clean, safe environment.
