Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Nurse to join a supportive team at Blackpool. You will provide patient care, supervise daily living activities, and promote safe discharge through collaboration with AHPs, ensuring up-to-date practice and adherence to NMC requirements.

You'll be expected to contribute to teaching and assessments, partake in audits, and maintain accurate records within Trust systems.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with 1st or 2nd level NMC registration.
• Willing to undertake teaching and assessing qualification.
• Willingness to undertake conversion to Part 1 of the NMC register.
• Diploma or willingness to undertake Diploma.
• Teaching and assessing qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and ensure activities of daily living are maintained with safe, appropriate care.
• Coordinate with AHPs to ensure timely, appropriate patient care and discharge.
• Ensure medications are administered at prescribed times.
• Participate in research and audit activities.
• Keep knowledge up to date and recorded in the Trust system.
