Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Cancer Data Navigator to monitor patient pathways from referral to treatment and ensure timely escalations within Cancer Services. The role requires robust data collection, accurate SCR entries, and regular reporting on waiting times to support national targets.

You will collaborate with diagnostic and clinical teams to ensure timely appointments and MDT discussions, with a focus on maintaining compliance with 14/31 and 62 day targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of anatomical and physiological terms.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to understand and interpret diagnostic investigation reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient journey against cancer waiting time targets (14/31/62 days) and ensure pathways align with escalation policies.
• Maintain robust data collection and input to enable timely reporting on department performance.
• Liaise with diagnostic departments and clinical teams to ensure appointments and care plans meet timescales and MDT discussions are accurately recorded.
