Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 administrative post to support colorectal cancer pathways. The role involves tracking patient progress through diagnostics, coordinating appointments and ensuring timely communication with patients and carers.

You will work with CNSs, MDT Coordinators and Cancer Trackers, handling confidential data and upholding NHS standards. The post emphasizes initiative and teamwork within a multi-site trust.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• ECDL or recognised experience.
• Evidence of ongoing personal development.
• Knowledge of NHS data definitions relating to Cancer Standards and Cancer Waiting Times.

Responsibilities

• Track the progress of cancer patients through their pathway, including diagnostic phase and results, to avoid delays.
• Ensure patients receive timely appointments and next steps in their pathway.
• Maintain and update relevant databases as required.
• Support patients and their carers in re-accessing specialist services without delay.
