Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an MDT Lead Coordinator (Band 5) to supervise MDT services and manage data within the Cancer Services Department. The role requires coordinating MDT staff, ensuring timely cancer waiting times, and maintaining essential documentation.

Excellent communication, change management, and NHS experience are advantageous. The post offers a Monday–Friday pattern, with details agreed on appointment and potential deputising for the Deputy General

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• IT qualification including Excel.
• Previous NHS experience is desirable.
• Experience in supervisory role, preferably in cancer care.
• Proven experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and organise workload.

Responsibilities

• Effective supervision of MDT Services across the county.
• Observe Cancer Waiting Times data and liaise with MDT and Service Delivery to identify delays.
• Assist in designing and implementing MDT policies and procedures.
• Attend weekly Cancer Services Operational Meeting; prepare agendas, take minutes and distribute actions.
• Ensure adequate cover plans for all MDT meetings.
• Develop data and filing systems for easy access to core information.
• Support management of tertiary referrals.
• Prepare audit documentation for annual review and maintain operational policies.
