Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 MDT Team Leader to supervise MDT coordinators within the cancer services team. You will ensure timely data capture, adherence to National Cancer Waiting Times guidance, and robust audit trails while supporting service improvement and cross‑team coordination.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong IT skills with NHS data systems, and the ability to work across complex patient pathways in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Word/Excel and data handling.
• Experience with cancer databases and national datasets.
• Knowledge of NHS performance targets and cancer pathways.
• Ability to delegate, supervise, and lead MDT coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and work allocation to MDT coordinators.
• Ensure timely, accurate data capture and escalation of delays.
• Maintain data quality and national dataset uploads.
• Coordinate with tertiary centres for patient pathway tracking.
• Support governance, policies, and quarterly MDT meetings.
• Assist with audits and sickness/holiday cover.
