Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking an MDT Co-ordinator/MDT Tracker to manage referrals for suspected and confirmed cancer, ensuring local and national pathways and targets are met. You will work within a team of MDT Coordinators to provide a first‑class service and maintain accurate documentation across systems.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level with A Level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Working knowledge of Word Processing, spreadsheets and databases
• Minimum of one year’s NHS experience involving patient contact and/or scheduling of patient appointments

Responsibilities

• MDT coordination and tracking of cancer patient tracking list (PTL)
• Organise and attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
• Prepare lists of patients for MDT discussion from clinicians, notes and EPR data
• Prepare MDT decision sheets with patient demographics and investigation results
• Ensure MDT progress towards 31 and 62 day targets via MDT and clinical pathways
• Liaise with other MDT coordinators and support departments for weekly MDT meetings
• Book and confirm scans, appointments and surgery dates; follow up as needed
• Assist with follow-up actions for MDT pathways
• Ensure MDT decisions are documented in patient notes and in Somerset Cancer Register
• Organise SMDT meetings and inform other trusts of changes
• Comply with safeguarding policies and data protection requirements
