Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset in Poole is seeking a full-time Multi-Disciplinary Team Coordinator to join Cancer Services. MDT coordinators ensure patients with suspected cancer are investigated, diagnosed and treated in a timely manner under national timeframes.

The role involves coordinating MDT meetings, recording outcomes, and tracking patient pathways to meet national targets, with opportunities to contribute to cancer data collection and reporting.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent at Grade C/Level 4 or above.
• Vocational Level 3 Business Admin/IT or equivalent experience.
• AMSPAR Level 2/3 Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Act as co-ordinator to facilitate and provide administrative support to Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT).
• Prepare and maintain all related documentation pertaining to the smooth running of MDT meetings.
• Assist in site-specific data collection processes, Cancer Waiting Times and national cancer data sets.
• Liaise with departments involved in providing care and core services to ensure planned patient treatment progresses smoothly and in a timely manner.
