Job summary

• You will be an experienced and professional security leader with a strong commitment to creating safe, secure, and welcoming environments for students, staff, and visitors.
• You will possess proven leadership skills in managing and supervising front line security teams, ensuring high standards of operational performance, customer service, and community engagement.
• With a proactive and visible approach to campus safety, you will need to demonstrate the ability to coordinate daily security operations, oversee incident response, and support the effective delivery of safety and security services across a diverse university environment.
• You will be confident in leading teams, allocating resources, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support to Security Control Officers and Campus Safety, Security, and Front of House staff.
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, the candidate builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• The Campus Safety and Security Team Leader role provides support to the Safety and Security Operations Manager to ensure Campus remains a safe, secure and welcoming environment for all students, staff and visitors.
• The post holder is responsible for supervising a team of Campus Security Control Team Officers and Campus Safety, Security, and Front of House staff, daily operations, overseeing incident response, and supporting with compliance with university policies, procedures and legal obligations.
