Job summary

Collectors Universe (UK) Limited in London is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead daily security operations, oversee the contracted security team, and protect people and assets across the site. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Global Security Operations and requires coordinating staffing, incident response, and compliance with UK security standards.

You will supervise access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, liaise with emergency services, and drive improvements in security procedures

Qualifications

• Five+ years of security experience, including three+ years supervising security operations in a corporate or comparable environment.
• A degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience overseeing contracted security officers and managing vendor performance, staffing and service delivery.
• Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, visitor management, and fire and life safety procedures.
• Understanding of UK security operating practices, licensing requirements, and handling of CCTV footage and sensitive information.
• Strong written and spoken English with the ability to prepare clear reports and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security operations at the London office and support UK security requirements as directed.
• Manage the security vendor relationship, including coverage, rotas, post orders, training standards and service performance.
• Coordinate with vendor management to address attendance, conduct and performance concerns.
• Review vendor invoices, staffing hours and overtime against budgets.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• Maintain site security procedures for access, escorts, deliveries and high-value products.
• Oversee access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems with internal teams and service providers.
• Coordinate initial response to security incidents and emergencies, including after-hours escalation when required.
• Liaise with emergency services and building management as appropriate.
• Maintain records, preserve evidence, and coordinate with HR and other teams.
• Work with Operations, Workplace, HR and others to resolve security concerns and ensure emergency readiness.
