Job summary

School of Coding & AI is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our IT function as we expand our higher education provision. You will build infrastructure, launch new sites and run a responsive helpdesk for staff and students.

You will manage a small team, coordinate suppliers, and oversee Microsoft 365, Azure, AD and security practices to support growth and maintain reliable services across campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT services in fast-paced organisations.
• Proven ability to upgrade IT infrastructure and set up new sites.
• Hands-on with routers, switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, AD and Windows device management.
• Experience running or improving IT helpdesk with SLAs.
• Understanding of cyber security, backups and business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver IT infrastructure for new campuses.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and capacity issues.
• Coordinate suppliers and testing for new sites.
• Establish a structured helpdesk for 4,000+ users.
• Lead IT projects and manage budgets and contracts.
• Maintain documentation and report on service performance.
