Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician to manage the curriculum and admin ICT network, including hardware and software infrastructure, and to support staff and pupils. You will lead the IT helpdesk, plan ICT service provision, and drive training initiatives to maximise student learning outcomes.

The role requires strong problem solving in education, experience with the Office 365 admin centre, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of the technology environment within education.
• Willingness to pursue relevant qualifications and CPD.
• Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels and ICT problem solving.
• Ability to manage priorities under pressure in education settings.
• Experience in education environment and IT helpdesk leadership.
• Understanding of Office 365 admin centre.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ICT helpdesk and triage IT tickets, updating status promptly.
• Ensure server infrastructure is up to date through proactive checks.
• Install and maintain ICT hardware, devices and peripherals.
• Support staff training and upskill to maximise learning outcomes.
• Plan and implement ICT strategy and service provision with the Head of IT.
• Maintain stock levels and manage user accounts across school environments.
