Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a friendly Student Support and Safeguarding assistant to join our busy Helpdesk at the heart of campus. You will be the first point of contact for students, welcoming them to the Student Support Centre and helping them access information, advice and support.

This role involves in-person service, administrative tasks, handling sensitive information with confidentiality, and collaborating with teams to respond to student needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in a service environment.
• Strong IT and organisational skills.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for students at the Helpdesk and welcome them to the Student Support Centre.
• Provide in-person service and administrative support for specialist teams.
• Manage a diverse workload and engage with students and guardians in distress.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism and commitment to inclusivity.
