Job summary

Manchester City is seeking an events-oriented candidate to coordinate and manage events at the campus. You will support set-up, walk customers through journeys, brief teams, and work with colleagues to meet timelines. On event days, you’ll handle customer queries and feedback while maintaining a calm, welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality or venue operations in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong organisational skills and close attention to detail.
• Awareness of First Aid and Health and Safety regulations
• Confidence working independently and using your initiative.
• Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Support event set-up and close-down to ensure smooth operations.
• Walk customer journeys and brief teams to deliver on time.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to meet requirements and timelines.
• Support customer service on event days by handling queries and feedback.
• Maintain a calm, organised and welcoming environment.
• Manage event stock control and ordering (AV equipment, stationery, football equipment).
