Job summary

University of Kent is seeking a friendly and professional housekeeper to maintain our accommodation, lecture theatres, conference rooms, hospitality outlets, flats, toilets and public areas to the highest standards. The role is ongoing, 30 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 with shifts from 09:00 to 15:00.

No prior cleaning experience is essential as full training is provided; you will be reliable, able to work in a team, and communicate effectively to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Training provided; cleaning experience not essential.
• Reliable team player with good communication.
• Able to follow specific work schedules and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain award-winning accommodation, lecture theatres, conference rooms, hospitality outlets, flats, toilets and public areas to high standards.
• Provide friendly customer service to staff, students, guests and conference attendees.
• Follow set schedules and contribute to a clean, welcoming environment during term time and vacations.
