Job summary

Lift New Rickstones is seeking an Exam Invigilator to help create a calm, secure exam environment. You will prepare rooms, verify candidate identity, distribute papers and materials, and explain procedures clearly.

You will supervise during exams, respond to queries without compromising integrity, record start and finish times, collect scripts, and assist with post-exam room clearance. GCSEs and exam procedure knowledge desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing large groups of people.
• Good literacy and communication skills.
• Ability to follow schedules and deadlines with initiative.
• Calm, patient and resilient under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent; knowledge of exam procedures desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms in line with seating plans and exam requirements.
• Check candidate identity and attendance and distribute the correct papers and materials.
• Give clear instructions to candidates and ensure examination regulations are followed.
• Supervise candidates throughout examinations, maintaining a calm and secure environment.
• Respond to queries and emergencies and report incidents; collect scripts and materials and clear venues.
