Job summary

Lift Maltings is seeking an Exam Invigilator to help run examinations smoothly in a calm, secure environment. You will prepare rooms, verify identities, distribute papers and explain procedures clearly throughout the exam period.

You will supervise candidates, handle queries, report incidents and ensure compliance with exam regulations, with duties including collecting scripts and restoring the venue after exams. This is a casual, zero-hours contract.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large groups of people.
• Good literacy and communication skills to give clear instructions.
• Ability to follow schedules and deadlines with initiative.

• Strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms in line with seating plans and exam requirements.
• Check candidate identity and attendance and distribute the correct papers.
• Give clear instructions to candidates and ensure exam regulations are followed.
• Supervise candidates throughout examinations, maintaining a calm environment.
• Respond to queries, disruptions and emergencies and report incidents.
• Collect examination papers and materials securely and clear venues.
