Job summary

E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy invites applications for an Exam Invigilator to support examination delivery across the academic year. The role requires you to prepare rooms, supervise students, and ensure compliance with examination procedures in a calm, orderly environment.

Ideal candidates will be organised, reliable, and able to adapt to changing exam requirements while upholding safeguarding standards and academy values.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
• Confident communicator with the ability to supervise and support students effectively.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and examination requirements.
• Professional, reliable and able to follow procedures and regulations consistently.
• Experience working with young people or in a supervisory role is desirable, with a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all required materials and equipment are in place before exams begin.
• Supervise students during examinations, maintaining a calm, secure and orderly environment.
• Check attendance registers and ensure candidates are seated according to examination requirements.
• Distribute, collect and safely manage examination papers and materials in line with regulations.
• Follow examination procedures and report any issues or irregularities to the Exams Officer promptly
