Job summary

Tesco Cafes in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly Team Member to help deliver great service, prepare and serve food, and maintain a clean, welcoming cafe space. You’ll be part of a fast-paced team, required to follow food safety standards and FIFO stock rotation, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
• A commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.
