Tesco Café in the United Kingdom is seeking a Team Leader to join its busy café environment. You’ll support the Manager, coach teammates, and ensure superb customer service in a friendly, fast-paced setting.

You’ll lead by example, maintain safety and food hygiene, open/close shifts, and help drive sales while delivering training and development opportunities. Tesco offers flexible working options and valuable staff benefits.

Qualifications

• A background in hospitality, with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Health & Safety knowledge.

• Maintaining operational and safety standards.
• Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are met.
• Leading by example with excellent customer service.
• Opening and closing the café and overseeing full operations in the Manager's absence.
• Coaching and developing team members.
• Learning the menu inside out and helping the team to do the same.
• Boosting sales by ensuring proper staffing.
• Delivering Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.
• Supporting the Café Manager with coaching and development.
• Seeking ways to continually improve our service for customers.
