Tesco UK is seeking a Team Leader for one of our Cafés, offering a friendly, fast-paced environment and a focus on outstanding customer service. You will support the Manager, coach team members, and help achieve business and financial goals.

Develop your skills through tailored training and flexible working options, while contributing to an inclusive culture where colleagues feel valued. You’ll also lead by example and ensure safety and quality across daily operations.

Qualifications

• A background in hospitality, with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational and safety standards across the café.
• Ensure food safety regulations are met and followed.
• Lead by example to deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Open and close the café and oversee full operations in the Manager’s absence.
• Recognise and celebrate team members for providing excellent service.
• Learn the menu inside out and help the team to do the same.
• Boost sales by ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
• Deliver Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.
• Support the Café Manager with colleague coaching and development.
• Seek ways to continuously improve our service for customers.
• Promote an inclusive environment where colleagues feel respected, valued, and safe.
