Job summary

Tesco Cafés are seeking a Team Leader to join our friendly, fast-paced team. Support the Café Manager, coach colleagues, and drive excellent customer service while upholding health and food safety standards. Lead by example, open/close shifts, and help maximise sales through strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality with Team/Shift Leader experience.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Health & Safety and Food Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational and safety standards to ensure smooth cafe running.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are met and followed.
• Lead by example by delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Open and close the café and oversee full operations in the Manager's absence.
• Recognise and celebrate team members for great service.
• Learn the menu inside out and help the team do the same.
• Boost sales by ensuring staff are in the right place at the right time.
• Deliver Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.
• Support the Café Manager with coaching and development.
