Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Technical Engineer – Cabin Performance to deliver specialist engineering support for cabin interior change projects. You will ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements while delivering reliable and cost-efficient operations.

The role requires leading technical teams, producing designs and data, and providing on-site support to resolve technical issues in production environments.

Qualifications

  • CAA/EASA approvals or BA approvals required.
  • Experience with cabin interior projects and technical solutions is essential.
  • Strong technical leadership and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical specifications defining work scope of designs for cabin interior products.
  • Prepare financial quotations and business cases to gain spend approval for cabin interior projects.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure safety, compliance and best technical solutions.
  • Provide on-site specialist technical support to resolve issues in production areas.
  • Prepare and approve technical data and work instructions for installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of cabin products.
  • Investigate safety reports, defects and fleet reliability data to prevent recurrence and improve performance.
  • Evaluate manufacturer maintenance data, airworthiness directives and industry recommendations and implement applicable actions.
  • Develop and implement technical process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage aircraft, cabin and component maintenance programmes to achieve high technical performance.
