Job summary

British Airways in the United Kingdom seeks a Technical Engineer – Cabin Design to deliver cabin interior change projects and ensure aircraft safety and regulatory compliance. You will create specifications, lead technical solutions and provide on-site support to resolve issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities include data-driven design, cost control, and maintaining industry-leading technical performance across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Hold CAA approvals or BA approvals as required.
• Aerospace engineering background with relevant qualifications.
• Experience with aircraft cabin systems or maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create technical specifications defining work scope of designs for cabin interior products.
• Prepare technical data and work instructions to install, maintain, repair and overhaul cabin products.
• Provide on-site specialist technical support in production areas to resolve issues quickly.
• Evaluate maintenance data and regulations to implement best industry practices.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives to improve performance.
• Manage and develop maintenance programmes to meet safety and reliability targets.

Skills

Ability to hold CAA approvals or BA.2B

Education

HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject

Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience

Degree in an Engineering subject
