Job summary

Owen Daniels in the UK seeks an experienced Strategic Buyer to join its Purchasing team in Coventry. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms for engineering components, and support sourcing across manufacturing projects.

The role requires at least 3 years in manufacturing or engineering purchasing, strong supplier management, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience managing direct material suppliers and technical engineering commodities.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems.
