XIST4 IT Recruitment Ltd is assisting a Bristol‑based international engineering business. The Business Systems Manager will oversee Crest, a bespoke Dynamics 365 platform used across the company to manage technical, customer and commercial information.
You will work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365, including user management, permissions, and reporting. The role is hybrid, typically one day a week in Bristol, with two interviews as the selection process.
Our client is an international engineering business whose technology helps manufacturers reduce energy use, operating costs and carbon emissions.
Your main responsibility will be managing and supporting Crest, a bespoke, business‑critical platform used across the company to manage technical, customer and commercial information.
Crest is built on a Microsoft Dynamics Back End, with a custom tablet application used by engineers working on customer sites worldwide. It holds technical site data, product and pricing information, payback calculations, and feeds into important business outputs.
You likely won't know Crest already, and nobody expects you to.
What matters is that you have hands‑on experience supporting or administering Microsoft Dynamics 365, alongside practical Microsoft 365 experience. You should be comfortable managing users, permissions, and configuration; building or maintaining reports; troubleshooting issues; and understanding how data is structured and how it moves through a business system.
You may currently be a Business Systems Manager, Systems Manager, Systems Administrator, Business Applications Manager, Dynamics Administrator, CRM Systems Manager, or Application Support Manager.
You will be used to administering business‑critical systems, supporting colleagues, managing users and permissions, building reports, troubleshooting issues, and understanding how system changes can affect wider processes, data, and outputs.
You should also be comfortable with the broader IT environment, including Microsoft 365, Teams, user setup, access, permissions and day‑to‑day systems support.
You will get real ownership, broad exposure across the business and the freedom to improve how systems are used.
There will be more office time early on so you can learn Crest, meet the team and make the most of any available handover. Once established, the Business Systems Manager role is typically based in the Bristol office about one day a week.
The process is two interviews, then a decision.
We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and career paths who can bring the skills needed for the role.
