Business Support Officer - Commissioning and Contracts Team

Working Basis: Onsite for 1 month for training, then move to a Hybrid basis, 2 days onsite per week.

Location: Haylock House, Kettering, NN15 6YE.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, with 30 minutes unpaid break.

Rate of Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE.

Duration: 3-month, temporary assignment with potential to extend.

About the Role

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, North Northamptonshire Council, for a Business Support Officer to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team on a temporary basis. The role involves providing administrative support within the Adults Social Care department.

Duties:
  • Maintain accurate databases with information from accountable workers regarding Adult Social Care customers.
  • Support and maintain existing systems, including IT, filing, and electronic storage, to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Act as the first point of contact for telephone and email queries.
  • Provide efficient, confidential administrative support using electronic applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and Outlook.
  • Assist in the assessment and review of customers, ensuring all assessments and reviews are received on time.
  • Process financial claims and payments in accordance with NNC regulations and guidelines.
  • Previous administrative experience is essential.
  • Experience in contract roles and within the Adult Social Care sector is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external customers.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and initiative to investigate discrepancies.
