Senior Full Stack Engineer - Account Takeover

Remote - UK

About the Role

Abnormal Security is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Behavioral Security Products team. Our company focuses on understanding user behavior through baselines and ML models to identify normal activity for each employee. Our team develops features that provide insights into employee and system activities, helping detect and respond to critical attacks like account takeovers.

The role involves building features that enable customers to diagnose suspicious behavior quickly, categorize it as an attack or benign, and implement controls to optimize system behavior according to their needs. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously with remote teams
• Experience building both frontend UI components and backend APIs
• A desire to grow professionally within a collaborative team environment
• Experience working effectively with remote stakeholders across multiple time zones
• Attention to detail, with a focus on code quality, testing, and performance
• A growth mindset, aiming to increase impact and ownership over time
• The ability to clarify ambiguities and communicate decisions effectively with leadership

What You Will Do

• Maintain and improve existing production features
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, build, test, and launch new features
• Develop and test software solutions
• Work with Customer Support and Sales Engineering on production issues and solutions
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and catch issues early
• Use good judgment in choosing methods and techniques for problem-solving

Must Haves

• 3+ years of support experience with enterprise customers
• At least 1 year of system design experience
• Experience owning both testing and development of software solutions
• Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with remote teams
• BSc in Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with Airflow, Celery, AWS/Azure, Postgres
• API platform development experience
• Experience with Go programming language
