Job description

Business Support Officer - Commissioning and Contracts Team

Working Basis: Onsite for 1 month for training, then move to a hybrid basis, 2 days onsite per week.

Location: Haylock House, Kettering, NN15 6YE.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Rate of Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE.

Duration: 3-month temporary assignment with potential for extension.

About the Role

Opus People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for a Business Support Officer to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team on a temporary basis. The role involves providing administrative support within the Adults Social Care department.

Duties:
  1. Maintain accurate databases with information provided by accountable workers regarding Adult Social Care customers.
  2. Support and maintain existing systems, including IT, filing, and electronic storage, to ensure effective service delivery.
  3. Act as the first point of contact for telephone and email inquiries.
  4. Provide efficient and confidential administrative support using electronic applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and Outlook.
  5. Assist in the assessment and review process by ensuring all assessments and reviews are completed on time.
  6. Process financial claims and payments in accordance with NNC regulations and guidelines.
Essential Experience:
  1. Previous administrative experience is essential.
  2. Experience in contract roles is beneficial.
  3. Experience working within the Adult Social Care sector is advantageous.
  4. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external customers.
  6. Good organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  7. Attention to detail and initiative to investigate discrepancies.
