Job summary

Ashfield District Council is seeking a Business Intelligence Officer to turn data into actionable insights within the Policy & Performance team. You will analyse performance data, create dashboards, and support decision-making across the council.

You will use Excel and Power BI, contribute to customer insight activities, and assist with GIS and spatial data analysis, helping promote effective data usage across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working with data and ICT systems.
• Knowledge of Power BI or GIS or performance management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and present performance data using Excel and Power BI.
• Produce reports, dashboards and visualisations for senior managers and elected members.
• Support customer insight activities, surveys and consultations.
• Assist with GIS and spatial data analysis.
• Help maintain performance management systems and promote data use across the organisation.
