Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking an experienced Logistics Business Development Manager to join our team in Northampton. You will support the sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and manage relationships with new clients in the Lifestyle & Technology vertical, with travel across the UK.

The role offers a salary of £50,000–£60,000, hybrid working up to 3 days remote, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, and a range of benefits including car allowance, pension, private health cover, and 25 days’ holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development within logistics and warehousing/transport.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end tender processes.
• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work in a customer-facing capacity.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets within Lifestyle & Technology vertical.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including potential customers and partners.
• Manage stages of the sales cycle from initial contact through RFQ and contract support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (solutions design, operations, finance) to create tailored logistics solutions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across business units and attend industry events.
• Prepare and present sales reports with insights and recommendations to senior management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the sales team, driving revenue growth and managing key relationships with new clients, as well as identifying and exploring new scope for existing clients within the Lifestyle and Technology vertical. This role requires a self-motivated person with a strong sales background and a good knowledge of the logistics industry.This role will be based at our new SDC site in Northampton site (NN7 2FR), with opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week (subject to business requirements). It will also require regular travel to visit customers across the UK.This a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience).
