Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding UK is seeking a Sector Business Development Manager to drive new business, win targets and expand key accounts. You will develop pipeline, collaborate with product/station teams and represent DHL to customers while pursuing growth across UK sectors.

The role requires extensive freight forwarding knowledge, senior relationship skills, and willingness to travel internationally to meet clients and advance strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing new business within freight forwarding.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally for business development.
• Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
• Knowledge of multiple transport modes (import/export).

Responsibilities

• Find and develop high-value target customers for DHL Global Forwarding UK.
• Develop business from new, existing or lapsed customers and identify share of wallet.
• Represent DGF and DHL with key customers and partners.
• Collaborate with product/station teams to drive growth and solutions.
• Build a substantial pipeline with short, mid and long-term targets.
• Meet KPIs for business development and manage reports/meetings.
• Formulate win plans and lead meetings to deliver results.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies.
