Job description

Our client is part of a national finance and debt management business with offices across the UK. This role is 100% remote, requiring you to manage your workload independently while maintaining close contact with their office-based teams.

Their principal services include:

  • Full white label credit management outsourcing
  • Office-based debt collection
  • Field visit collection and debt counselling
  • Legal action services via their in-house legal team, fully licensed by the SRA
  • Trace services

Their target clients are large businesses with a turnover exceeding £30 million per annum, ensuring a steady flow of new cases, although they are not limited to this segment.

The company is experiencing growth, with annual increases exceeding 30% over the last three years. They are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious Business Development Manager to help expand their business areas.

The Role

Although titled “Manager,” the successful candidate initially will not oversee staff but will be responsible for their own revenue generation. Candidates must have at least three years of sales experience with their current employer and be able to provide proof of income generated.

Travel across the UK is required, so a clean driving licence is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Cold call leads via our CRM to secure prospect appointments, including outreach to accountants, insolvency practitioners, etc., to leverage relationships and generate introductions.
  • Attend prospect meetings, assess opportunities, and sell the company's services in a consultative manner.
  • Produce tailored proposal letters post-meetings, outlining services, benefits, and charges.
  • Participate in set-up meetings with new clients to tailor services to their needs.
  • Attend client review meetings to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Achieve set appointment and revenue targets.
  • Attend monthly sales review meetings to discuss performance against targets.
The Rewards

The package includes:

  • A basic salary up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and success.
  • A generous uncapped commission scheme, with potential earnings exceeding £100,000 annually.
  • Commission is paid at 10% on revenue in the first year of a client’s lifecycle and 5% in the second year. No commission is paid on clients from the third year onward.
  • A monthly car allowance, dependent on the candidate’s level.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS and CCJ check before employment is confirmed.
