Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: United Kingdom (Remote with travel as required)

Industry: Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) / Life Sciences / Food & Pharma

Overview:

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and fast-growing international testing and laboratory services network. The role covers the UK and focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing key client relationships, and contributing to the commercial growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities across the food & feed sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Coordinate closely with technical teams and laboratories to provide tailored solutions to clients.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and quotations.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed across the UK.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline records and reports using CRM tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within B2B services or the scientific/laboratory/testing sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercially savvy, self-motivated, and target-driven.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (science, business, or similar) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Commercial OR technical experience with pesticides/mycotoxins/residues and contaminants is a plus.
