In 2023, the market was valued at approximately USD 19.1 billion and is projected to grow significantly, reaching USD 54.3 billion by 2030. This reflects a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 14.1% over the forecast period from 2024 to 2030.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Sales team, to assist with maximising the sales opportunities within our product. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will work on new business development, covering the full sales lifecycle from initial lead generation, through customer negotiation, to closing deals.

We have a strong, world-wide existing client base, ranging from multinational corporates to one-man start-ups, covering multiple different languages. This is an opportunity to grow your knowledge (and therefore role) rapidly and to develop relationships with multiple companies across a diverse set of applications and geographies.

Main Responsibilities

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify key potential customer and emerging applications for Sensize’s products within a designated industry and geography.
  • Create and nurture your own sales pipeline. Build and execute a structured plan to profile, segment, and target prospects, employing multiple engagement strategies.
  • Use a combination of lead generation techniques—including cold calling, referrals, email campaigns, and industry networking to generate warm leads.
  • Organise and lead company demos, clearly communicating the value proposition of Sensize’s technology.
  • Negotiate and close deals, aiming for mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Collaborate with marketing, and customer engineering teams to create cohesive strategies and understand customer requirements.
  • Explore and research new prospects via account mapping and lead generation activities
  • Maintain an awareness of competition, competitive products and market trends
  • Use our CRM and marketing platform to manage all customer interactions and reporting
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide detailed reporting on the success of business development activities

Requirements

Skills and Experience

This is a great opportunity for someone to further their career and the ideal candidate will already have solid commercial experience in a business development focussed role. Your previous experience will ideally be within a technology environment, and could cover things like hardware/electronics, software, RF, AI/ML or something similar.

We are looking for someone who is a great team player, well-organised, proactive and not shy on voicing their thoughts and participating in constructive dialogue. Specific longevity of experience is secondary…we want someone who can rise to the challenge.

Essential

  • Previous sales or business development experience within a technology-focused company.
  • A commercially focused attitude and experience working across the full sales lifecycle from initial lead generation and outreach, through to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and data analysis tools and in LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Desirable

  • Experience in international business development and cross-cultural negotiations.
  • Experience in tech, SaaS and logistics/reusable packaging or FMCG.
