Sales & Key Account Manager (Composites & Advanced Materials)

Location: Hybrid, UK.

Sector: Composites, Polymers, and Advanced Materials for Moulding Shops

Reports To: Technical Sales Manager

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Car or Allowance

About the Opportunity

An innovation-led supplier of composite processing materials is looking to appoint a self-motivated, technically strong Sales & Key Account Manager to lead commercial growth across moulding shops, OEMs and sub-contractors in the UK, with a longer-term focus on expanding into the European market.

The company is known for its specialism in vacuum bagging materials, including bagging films, release films, peel ply, breather fabrics, and related consumables used throughout composite manufacturing. They serve sectors such as aerospace, motorsport, automotive, and industrial composites.

Role Overview

The Key Account Manager will play a key role in developing customer relationships, managing strategic accounts, and delivering growth through technical sales and value-led solutions.

The initial focus will be on strengthening UK-based customer partnerships and building a robust commercial base.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage key accounts across UK moulding shops and composite manufacturing clients

Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities

Offer technical guidance and insight into process material usage, including bagging films and release films

Support customer trials and ensure alignment with technical and production teams

Maintain detailed knowledge of the product range and evolving customer needs

Contribute to long-term growth strategy based on performance and market opportunity

Attend site visits, trials, trade shows, and customer meetings

Candidate Requirements

Experience in technical sales or key account management within composites or advanced materials

Strong knowledge of process materials including release films, bagging films, breather fabrics, sealants, and resin systems

Proven ability to work independently while building strong customer and internal relationships

Strong organisational and communication skills

Based in the UK with willingness to travel (UK and Europe)

Previous experience selling into sectors such as aerospace, motorsport, automotive, or industrial composites

Familiarity with moulding shop processes and customer types across the UK

Understanding of material performance, specifications, and supply chain dynamics
