Business Developer / Sales Development Representative

Business Development Executive – Technical Engineering Sales – NEW BUSINESS HUNTER

Learn the manufacturing and engineering solutions market through cold calling and outbound sales, with the opportunity to progress into a field sales role. This office-based position is located in Rugby.

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 plus £8,000 - £10,000 bonus. Offers progression opportunities, a car, bonus, and benefits.

Join a no-frills manufacturing SME, a stable client with a growth mindset. This role is ideal for individuals with 2 years of B2B sales experience and an interest in engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors.

Start date: June - July 2025.

About the Role

We seek a proactive salesperson to work with a £25 million turnover client that is entrepreneurial and growth-oriented. The company has a great customer base and offers superb engineering solutions across various sectors. You will be supported by the Sales Manager in a family-feel team focused on career progression and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated salesperson with strong B2B sales skills and personality. If you have manufacturing synergy and can understand technical and engineering profiles, this role is for you. Comfort with cold calling and generating new business is essential. This role is ideal for those looking to move into a field sales position—demonstrate what you can do!

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales within a motivated product range, with experience in account management and B2B sales.
  • Possess a background with a large product portfolio, energy, personality, and the ability to identify opportunities and ask the right questions.
  • Be resilient and comfortable engaging with engineers, manufacturing, and industrial clients.
  • Have at least 2 years of solid B2B sales experience, with the ability to drive and report to a motivated and dynamic Sales Director.
  • Be eager to earn bonuses and develop the territory.
  • Reside within commuting distance to Rugby HQ, as this is an office-based role.
