Job description

Salary – Up to £27,700 per annum

Location – Manchester

Contract - Permanent

MIDAS, one of the UK's most successful inward investment agencies, is seeking a Business Development Executive to support the team in attracting companies to establish a presence in Greater Manchester.

Do you want to make a difference and help shape Greater Manchester’s economic future? Understanding the vital role economic development plays in improving quality of life and creating opportunities can foster lasting, inclusive growth.

You will need a passion for Manchester, a positive attitude, some experience in a busy sales environment, and an interest in the Creative, Digital & Tech sectors.

The successful candidate will support the Head of Sector and Business Development Manager (BDM) in delivering MIDAS’ core services to investors in Greater Manchester and help meet inward investment targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the team by managing the delivery of services to new and existing investors to achieve inward investment and job creation targets.
  2. Manage enquiries via web, telephone, and email, referring to relevant managers for project direction.
  3. Conduct desk research to support proposition development and lead generation activities.
  4. Provide after-care support to new investors as directed.
  5. Monitor FDI alerts and relevant data sources.
  6. Assist in business development activities such as attending events, conferences, and client meetings.
  7. Update CRM records and generate management reports when needed.
  8. Collaborate positively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
