Job Description:

I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, excellent culture, and growth track record. This is a newly created, exciting role working with a high-performance global team. You will be supported by a respected commercial team and clinical experts, joining an organization with a collaborative culture.

The role is an individual sales contributor position, remote with a focus on the UK/western European territory. Responsibilities include securing new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotech, and medical device companies across various therapeutic areas such as oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. Success requires a hunter mentality, a strong network, and a proven sales record in the region, selling full CRO services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Achieving sales and business development targets
• Developing and implementing business strategies for target markets
• Prospecting to build a sales pipeline and generate RFPs
• Using Salesforce to track activities and opportunities
• Leading the sales process for generated leads
• Managing proposal development to meet client expectations
• Redefining profitable market niches based on evidence
• Providing marketing input to support business development
• Supporting sales targets and strategies with leadership input
• Defining and implementing sales support strategies
• Engaging with agents and consultants in other regions
• Collaborating with internal research staff for sales opportunities
