I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, stable client base, and consistent growth. This is a newly created, exciting role working with a high-performance international team. You will be supported by a respected commercial team and industry-leading clinical experts in a collaborative culture.

The role is an individual sales contributor position, primarily remote, focusing on the UK and Western Europe. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients and managing accounts within pharma, biotech, and medical device sectors across various therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. Success requires a hunter mentality, a strong network, and a proven sales record in the region, selling comprehensive CRO solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Achieving sales and business development targets
• Developing and executing strategies for target markets
• Prospecting and building a sales pipeline, qualifying opportunities
• Using Salesforce to track activities and opportunities
• Managing the sales process from lead generation to closing
• Leading proposal development to meet client expectations
• Identifying profitable market niches based on evidence
