Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and the Itineris project and service delivery teams, responsible for ensuring the success of the UMAX solution by managing customer needs from a business and market regulations perspective. They will focus on providing relevant business and market guidance to application consultants and support mediation decisions with the customer Business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR and requires experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE) and ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement. It is cloud-based, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you…

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts to ensure business needs are translated into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops & meetings onsite with customers.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Collaborate and develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risks.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to new and existing customers.
• Work with colleagues to upskill and understand industry best practices, especially for the Irish energy market (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously expand your knowledge of the Utility market in Ireland and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• Deep knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least +5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably with large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in business requirements gathering and understanding business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• A team player with a problem-solving mentality.
• Hands-on, proactive, and quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented with adaptability to dynamic environments.
