Function:

The Business Consultant will work with customers and project teams to ensure the successful deployment of the UMAX solution, focusing on customer needs from a business and market regulation perspective. Responsibilities include providing business and market guidance, supporting mediation decisions, and ensuring customer requirements are translated into functional specifications.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR, and requires experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE). ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX, our cloud-based software built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, automates processes for water and energy utilities, enabling better customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings onsite with clients.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project meetings and identify risk areas proactively.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to clients.
• Upskill with industry best practices, especially for the Irish energy market.
• Continuously develop knowledge of the utility market in Ireland (ROI & NIE) and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with a master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding customer processes.
• Skills in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Team player with problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, quality-driven, and customer-oriented.
