Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and the Itineris project and service delivery teams. They will be responsible for the success of the UMAX solution by ensuring customers’ needs are managed from a business and market regulations perspective. The Business Consultant will focus on providing relevant business and market guidance to our application consultants and will support mediation decisions with the customer’s business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK or EIR and requires experience in the Irish market, both ROI and NIE. ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement. It is cloud-based, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you…

• Are the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts to ensure business needs are translated into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops & meetings onsite with customers.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution to go to market.
• Collaborate closely and develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
• Apply expertise to deliver high-quality consulting services.
• Work with consultants to upskill and understand best practices for the Irish energy market (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop your knowledge within the Utility market, especially in Ireland, and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent through experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least +5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large, complex ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willing to travel depending on project phases.
• A team player with a problem-solving mindset.
• Hands-on, proactive, and quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
