Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and the Itineris project and service delivery teams. They will ensure the success of the UMAX solution by managing customer needs from a business and market regulations perspective. The Business Consultants will provide relevant business and market guidance to application consultants and support mediation decisions with the customer's business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR, and requires experience of the Irish market, both ROI and NIE. ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement. It is a cloud-based solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings with the customer onsite.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Collaborate closely with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and identify risk areas.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to customers.
• Work with consultants to upskill and understand best practices for the Irish energy market.
• Continuously develop your knowledge of the Utility market in Ireland (ROI & NIE) and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least 5+ years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in business requirements gathering and understanding business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• A team player with a problem-solving mentality.
• Hands-on, proactive, and quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-changing environments.
