Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and Itineris project teams, responsible for the success of the UMAX solution by ensuring customer needs are managed from a business and market regulations perspective. The role focuses on providing relevant business and market guidance to application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with the customer.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR and requires experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE) and ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement. It is cloud-based, built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings onsite with customers.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Itineris standard UMAX solution for the market.
• Collaborate with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams to develop strong relationships.
• Participate in project progress meetings and identify risk areas.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to customers.
• Work with consultants to upskill in industry best practices, especially for the Irish energy market (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop your knowledge of the Utility market, especially in Ireland, and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (Master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in business requirements and understanding of business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willing to travel to client sites as needed.
• A team player with problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach, proactive, and quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
