Job summary

Boots is seeking a Business Analyst – Data Migration to support a large-scale enterprise data migration for HR Transformation in Nottingham/Web location. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, defining data migration requirements, mappings and quality controls.

The role requires 4+ years as a BA, experience across multiple source systems and suppliers, and strong governance and data analysis skills. This is a fixed-term 12‑month contract based on on-site delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise data migration programmes.
• Experience with multiple source systems, data landscapes, and suppliers.
• Strong skills in data discovery, profiling, mapping and data quality.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specs and maintain traceability.

Responsibilities

• Understand data migration and archival requirements with HR, IT and stakeholders.
• Lead workshops and data discovery sessions to map requirements to specifications.
• Define data quality, validation and reconciliation needs with traceability.
• Analyze source data structures, models and business rules.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Validate mappings with Systems Integrator and suppliers.
• Support testing, defect triage and migration rehearsals.
• Ensure GDPR, security and data governance compliance.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, mappings, tests and outcomes.
• Communicate complex data concepts in business-friendly language.
