Job summary

West Coast Motors in Glasgow is seeking a PCV Electrician to diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems on buses and coaches. You will work at the depot, ensuring safe and reliable vehicle operation and fleet availability.

The role requires fault-finding skills, knowledge of CAN bus systems, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. A full UK driving licence is essential, with opportunities for training and career development as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a vehicle electrician or auto electrician.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
• Knowledge of CAN bus and ECUs.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on buses and coaches.
• Maintain, repair and install vehicle wiring, lighting, batteries and charging systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer software to identify faults.
• Inspect and test electrical circuits and control systems.
• Repair and maintain CCTV, destination equipment, passenger information systems and telematics.
