Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. in Redruth seeks a Bureau Payroll Officer / Client Bookkeeper to join a collaborative team. The role focuses 60-70% on payroll while handling a diverse client portfolio from a bureau setting.

You will deliver efficient bureau payroll and client bookkeeping services, build strong client relationships and support the team with ad-hoc duties. AAT qualification is advantageous but not essential for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end payroll for multiple clients in an accountancy practice or bureau.
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT experience.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll for a varied portfolio of clients, including year-end processes, RTI submissions and Auto-Enrolment.
• Prepare bookkeeping records and management accounts.
• Complete and submit VAT returns.
• Liaise with HMRC to resolve payroll and taxation queries.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing ongoing support and advice.
• Support the wider team with administrative duties and ad-hoc client work.
