Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Bureau Payroll Officer to join their Poole office. You will take ownership of payroll processing for a portfolio of 30-50 clients, handle day-to-day queries and ensure each client receives a reliable, professional and timely service.

The role is office-based during probation with the option of hybrid working thereafter, offering the chance to build strong client relationships while developing payroll expertise in a busy accountancy practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processing for multiple clients.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Processing payrolls for a portfolio of approximately 30-50 clients, ensuring all calculations are accurate and deadlines are met.
• Checking payroll information and handling employee data.
• Calculating statutory payments, including maternity pay, sick pay and holiday pay.
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain payroll information, resolve queries and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring all processing is completed within agreed timescales.
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and applying relevant changes correctly.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
