Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Building Surveyor to support a defence and security estate with technical advice on building condition, defects, maintenance and compliance. The role covers remedial, refurbishment and maintenance projects across a varied estate.

You will carry out inspections, assess building fabric and risks, and prepare reports and recommendations for clients and project teams, while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in building surveying or property consultancy.
• Ability to inspect buildings and advise on maintenance or remedial works.
• Strong understanding of building pathology and report writing.
• Professional approach to inspections and documentation.
• MRICS accreditation in progress is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections and condition surveys.
• Diagnose defects and propose remediation solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, schedules of condition, and recommendations.
• Advise on compliance, lifecycle planning and statutory obligations.
• Support refurbishment and maintenance projects.
• Manage multiple instructions and ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain records and escalate risks when needed.
• Collaborate with surveying teams, managers and clients.
